Hiring A Shopify Web Designer In Dubai
Design on a Shopify store is not decoration. It is the set of decisions that determine whether someone finds the product and believes the price.

Store design gets treated as the pretty layer over the functional part. On an ecommerce site it is the functional part. Where the price sits relative to the product information, how many taps stand between a collection page and a size choice, whether the delivery promise appears before the cart: those are design decisions, and they move revenue more reliably than a colour palette does.
What a Shopify designer is responsible for
- The template set. Home, collection, product, cart, account and the content pages, designed as a system rather than as six separate screens.
- The component library. Buttons, cards, badges and forms that behave the same everywhere, so the site does not drift as pages get added.
- Merchandising surfaces. What a marketer can rearrange without a developer, which is a design decision before it is a build decision.
- Mobile first. Most Gulf traffic is mobile. A design signed off on a desktop and squeezed down later is a design that will be rebuilt.
- Arabic. A bilingual store needs the layout mirrored, not translated. Type sizes, line heights and icon direction all change.
Design that survives your catalogue
Designers work with the best photograph in the folder and a product title of a convenient length. Real catalogues contain a product with no lifestyle shot, a title that runs to three lines, and a variant matrix nobody mentioned. Ask to see the design applied to your five worst products before you approve it. That is the version customers will meet.
Every design review should include the ugliest product you sell. It is the honest test.
How to brief
The best brief is short and specific about constraints rather than about taste. What the business sells, who buys it, what people ask before they buy, which competitors the customer is comparing against, and what the store cannot do today. Mood boards help with tone. They do not help with structure, and structure is where the money is.
Design and development together
The expensive version of this project is a design finished in isolation and handed to a developer who then explains what Shopify will not do. Sections, blocks and the product data model constrain layout in ways that are easy to work with early and painful to work around late. Keep both people in the same conversation from the first week.
That is how we run builds at The Epixels. If you are about to commission a store design, bring it to a call before it is finished. The changes worth making are usually structural, and they cost less the earlier they happen.
The Epixels is a Shopify Plus agency in Dubai that builds custom Shopify development and runs conversion rate optimization for DTC brands. Bring us the store and the problem.
